In 2019, the Jewish Federation of Northwest Indiana created a Community Garden, led by Lily Yalowitz. Our idea is to not only provide fresh produce, but also offer a peaceful and fulfilling retreat for the public. The garden will also give educational opportunities to our JCY campers and K’Ton Ton students as well as providing fresh produce to the Federation food pantry.

Help Make Our Garden Grow!
Any funds in excess of garden expenditures will support the Food Pantry. |
To make our Community Garden project a reality, we will need many hands to build, plant, weed, water, and eventually harvest. Can you help out? Let us know! We will plan work shifts throughout the summer and fall based on interest. All ages welcome. Call (219) 301-0960 for details, or fill out the interest form at right.
