COMING IN 2019!
As spring approaches and the ground starts to thaw, our thoughts start to turn to fresh fruits and vegetables. This spring, the Jewish Federation of Northwest Indiana has decided to create a community garden. Our idea is to not only provide fresh produce, but also offer a peaceful and fulfilling retreat for the public. The garden will also give educational opportunities to our JCY campers and K’Ton Ton students as well as providing fresh produce to the Federation food pantry.
Our garden will require community support in order to eventually become sustainable. Initial tasks to create our garden will include:
